Loved this book. All of the books seem to focus on the human servant rather than the vampire, and I loved that we got to see a female servant as the focus. Jessica is a great heroine - abused, flawed, miserable - and she serves as the perfect foil for Lord Mason, who is pretty much the same but hides it better.I can always trust Joey... Not a bad story, but it just had too many f... NASTY scenes that really turned me off this book, hence the low rating.I get that this was a rape scene, but Joey: I'm turned off this series forever, courtesy of that particularly revolting scene.#TraumatizedForLifeAs for healing a victim of repeated sexual assaults and outright torture...
