Great book! If you're a northerner, or a cottage dweller - a must read. Allin's love the northern scape is clear - and her writing shows it. Read!! This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers. To view it, click here. RIP Lou Allin-a former colleague at Cambrian College. I don't feel this is a true mystery as much as it is a series of observational musings on the life of a transplant to northern Ontario. Kudos to Allin for tackling the issue of residential schools but... I really enjoyed this book. I think that Allin has found her groove on this one; she certainly smoothed out some of the bumps from the first of this series (and the first of a new series almost inevitably has bumps). I also thought that the ending was well done for this story.
